Robert J. Wilson

Robert J. Wilson, 73 of Fort Smith, Arkansas, departed this life on March 14, 2016, at his home. He was a retired U.S. Army Disabled Veteran, member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as the Chairman of the Trustee Board, a life member of DAV and a member of American Legion Chapter 31. He was a volunteer at the Fort Smith Boys Club for a number of years, and a FSBC Alumni Member.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Owens and Ruth Wilson; five sisters: Sandra Kaye, Sandra Faye, Brenda, Bernice, and Gwen; and four brothers: Johnny, Charles, Herbert, and Tommy; one son Robert J. Wilson Jr. and one daughter Valerie K. Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of the home; two sons, Curtis (Angie) Green of Las Vegas, NV; Patrick (Toncha) Wilson of Jacksonville, NC, and three sisters, Shirley Webb and Kay Williams of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Trina (Raymond) Swinton of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephews, and other relatives whom he dearly loved.

Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
