Patricia Ann Smith was born on Saturday, February 1, 1947 as the third child of ten children to the late Bruce and Lorene Wilson in Omaha, Nebraska. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Toran-Lampkin.
Patricia was a faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She worked on the Kitchen Committee as the Chairperson for years.
Patricia was a very family-oriented person who loved cooking and taking care of them. She was a very kind-hearted, loving and generous lady. She was known as “Miss Hospitality of the South”. Everyone loved stopping by her house when coming or passing through Alma. She always had a hot southern meal cooked and a bed ready if necessary.
Patricia was affectionally known as “Little Woman” as a child, because she matured early in life. She was also a straight-forward, sassy, feisty, opinionated, and she could roll her eyes at anyone. She will be greatly missed by those who cherished and loved her dearly.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memories her three children, Victor (Lisa) Pierce of Conway, Arkansas, Shirl Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, and Charles (Jacqueline) Smith, Jr. of Fort Smith, Arkansas; five brothers, John E., Carver Ray, and Armstead Pierce all three of Omaha, Nebraska, James Pierce of Killeen, Texas, and Terry Pierce of Alma, Arkansas; three sisters, Jolene Wynne and Gert Wells both of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Lynette Mallory of Omaha, Nebraska; her granddaughter, Patricia Nicole Smith; three great-grandchildren; her best friend, Ballie McCoy, and a host of nephews, nieces, many other relatives; and friends.
