In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Scott Family. Belinda's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Belinda Scott.

Belinda A. Scott (aka) as NeNe by her family and grandkids was a gift from God, born on July 11, 1969, in Gary, Indiana to Kathleen and the late Fredie Scott. Belinda fulfilled her servantly duties here on earth touching countless lives during her journey along the way and was called home by our precious Lord and Savior on July 10, 2023.
Belinda accepted Christ in 1978 in Gary Indiana under the late Rev E. Murphy. She is a Graduate of Spiro High School and continued her education at Langston University, where she received her bachelor’s in psychology. Throughout her educational years Belinda earned various certificates and awards. Belinda was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC.
After College Belinda was blessed with two beautiful children whom she adored, Blake and Cathleen. She did her motherly duties for her two children and later took on the super role of becoming a grand-mother to her beloved Brooklynn, their bond was in- separatable and was filled with lots of memories over the years. She raised Brooklynn as her own, her love for Brooklynn was beyond words. This was also the same love she had for all her grandchildren.
Belinda began using her psychology profession working for DHS and then she later moved her knowledge and skills and became the Assistant Director at Comprehensive Juvenile Services in Western Arkansas. She was also the overseer of the Strengthening Families Program in Fort Smith AR.
Belinda had a caring, giving spirit and was always laughing with family, friends, and co-workers. She had a passion with jewelry, she even had her own Bling Boutique while selling Papparazzi, and she was quite successful in her sales. When calling Belinda on the phone she would pick up and sometimes say, “What up, what up though”. She also would enjoy her Friday night Girls nights with her cousins (Lena, Carrie, Ussa, Lucy & Nikki) with a few beverage sips (Not Kool-Aid).
Belinda was preceded in death by her Father Fredie Scott, Grandparents Leroy & Beatrice Lewis, & BJ & Melinda Scott.
Belinda will forever be cherished & remembered by her two children Blake Scott (Kayla) Ft. Smith AR, Cathleen Hill (Roman) Houston TX. Her Precious Brooklynn Scott, (3) granddaughters Navaeh, Londynn & Queen, (5) grandsons, Maxwell, Jaxson, Isaac, Bryson, and King, her mother Kathleen Scott, sister Shery Scott-Smith (Richard) brother Fredie Scott (Nicole) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Don’t worry about us down here my beautiful mother. You have completed and fulfilled your motherly duties on this earth. Mother you have touched so many lives and blessed so many people/families during your journey. The legacy you left in the world & memories that were made together as a family will forever be in our hearts and souls. We take comfort knowing that you will feel no pain and suffering knowing that your earthy body had started to fail, no longer allowing you to live life to its fullest as you had always done. So, before your spirit was broken, God said Well-done good and Faithful Servant come home your work here is done, enter the Joy of the Lord.
So, rest easy my sweet and beautiful mother, we will soon meet again. We love you. Your Son “BLAKE”
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, 11:00am at Victory Worship Center, 23725 US-271, Spiro, Oklahoma.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Fort Coffee Cemetery, Fort Coffee, Oklahoma.
