In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Delph-Tate Family. Carla's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Carla Delph-Tate.

Carla Annette Delph-Tate was born November 1, 1968 to the late Cecil and Bertha Delph of Menifee, Arkansas. Her grandparents were the late Earnest and Partheena Delph and the late Jeff and Daisy Coleman.


She answered her Heavenly Father's call to come home on April 16, 2024 at Conway Regional Hospital.


She was preceded in death by her father and mother Cecil and Bertha Delph; brothers, Cecil, Jr., Stanly, Amos and Stevenson Delph; one sister, Olivia Fuller; two nephews, Christopher Delph and Desmond Day.


Carla "Duck" professed a hope in Christ at St. Mark Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor David Gober. She was active in her church home until she moved her membership to Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Arkansas under the leadership of the former pastor , Rev. James Delph. She was an active member and loved her church family until her health began to weaken.


She attain her high school education at Morrilton High School. After graduation, she worked at Virco Manufacturing for twenty-five years. Also during her time on earth, she was join in Holy Matrimony to Quincy Tate, after several years, the union was dessolved.


She leaves to cherish her loving memory, four brothers, Elder James (Elease) Delph of Conway, Arkansas, Ronald (Caprisha) Delph of Little Rock, Arkansas, Waymon (Anita) Delph of Conway, Arkansas, Eric (Kelly) Delph of Menifee, Arkansas; three sisters, Tracy Trezvant of Menifee, Arkansas, Polletta Johnson of Maumelle, Arkansas, Diana (Pastor Tony) Byers of Cleveland, Arkansas; sister-in-law, RuQunda Patton-Delph of Menifee, Arkansas; one uncle, Robert Delph of Denver, Colorado; one aunt, Virginia Delph of Frisco, Texas, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.


Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, 12:00pm at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 38 Hill Loop Rd., Houston, Arkansas 72070.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Menifee Community Cemetery, Menifee, Arkansas.
