In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Fulbright family. Charles’ earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Charles Chavez Fulbright, Sr.

Charles Chavez Fulbright, Sr. was a blessing given to the late Charlie Mae Poole on Wednesday, June 13, 1956 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was to take his eternal rest from his home on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Poole and James Fulbright, and a sister, Frances Simpson.
Charles attended the Fort Smith Public School System. He worked at Baldor Electric Company. After Baldor, he started driving trucks until he became disabled.
Charles was a friendly person who never met a stranger. He loved his family. He enjoyed being a father to his four sons he had with his former wife, Joann. He and his four sons were very close; they blessed him with eleven grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his sons, grandchildren and other family members who loved him dearly.
Charles will be forever cherished and remembered by his four sons, Amin (Camille) Fulbright of Jackson, Mississippi, Charles Fulbright, Jr. of Fair Banks, Alaska, Karim Fulbright of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Karee Fulbright of Jonesboro, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; six brothers, Norman Fulbright and Tarik (Lisa) Abdullah both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Raymond (Ruby) Poole of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Chester Hartgraves of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Hank Hartgraves of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and Robert Hartgraves of Van Buren, Arkansas; six sisters, Linda Howard, Betty Smith, Kimberly (Luther) Nelson, and Awetia (Theodore) Bishop, Frankie Carter and Lola (Horace) Ard, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas, many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 30, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary.
