Darrell's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Darrell Wayne Thompson.

Darrell Wayne Thompson was born on January 11, 1959, in Pulaski County, Arkansas to the late Henry Edward Thompson and the late Annie Bell Williamson. He was educated in Ola, Arkansas and attended Arkansas Tech University (CATU) for two (2) years.
Darrell moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas in his early 20’s where he met his lovely bride-to-be, Eva Louise Jackson. They were united in Holy Matrimony on June 16, 1984.
He united with Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a Deacon on December 13, 1998. He also served as Superintendent of Sunday School, Teacher of the Adult Class and served on the Finance Committee.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Henry Lee Thompson, Larry Thompson, Phillip Thompson and Marvin Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His Wife, Eva Louise Thompson. Children: Katherine Renee Thompson-Stewart, Darrell Wayne Thompson, Jr., (Dalicia) of Little Rock, Arkansas. Grandchildren: Olivia, Saletheo, Weston Stewart and Dreyson Thompson. Siblings: Helen McClain of Tomeka Queens, NY; Shirley Wise (Alan), Chester Thompson (Josie-deceased) , Robert R. Thompson all of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Kenneth Thompson (Clara) of Russellville, Arkansas. Mother-in-Law: Margaret Louise Christian of Fort Smith.
Along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will also cherish his memories.
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday November 27, 2024; 9:00am to 5:00pm Rowell-Parish Chapel 611 North 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be held Friday November 29, 2024; 11:00am New Covenant International Christian Center 4400 North N St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Committal and final resting place will be Oak Cemetery 1401 S. Greenwood Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
