Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Earl Eugene Dickerson better known to friends and family as “Gene” 61, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, September 19th, 2024. He was born on January 12th, 1963 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Louisiana while later moving to Conway, Ar and eventually residing in Memphis, Tn with and where he met his Wife until his passing. He worked for several companies throughout the years like Klassmeyer, Amtran, and Greyhound which he loved and made most of his lasting memories and friendships. Gene is most known for his skills on and off the basketball court, and being just an example of what a true friend is and should be. Earl is proceeded in death by his parents Cotrell and Carrie Dickerson, and brothers Joesph Dickerson and Kenneth Dickerson Sr. Earl leaves to cherish his memory his wife Karen Hutton Dickerson, children Cortnee, Keinon, Cory, And Angel. Grandchildren Da’Mir, D’Aris, and Javon, 4 sisters and 1 brother. And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, 12:00pm at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, 8112 Bicentennial Rd, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
Mr. Dickerson will lie in state Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00am to 11:45am at Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Sinai Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
