Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Eddie Metz, Jr. was a gift from God on Friday, February 10, 1954 to the late Eddie Metz, Jr. and the late Dorothy Rede in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was called to take hie eternal rest on Sunday, December 5, 2021 form Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Eddie graduated from the Public School System of New Orleans, Louisiana. Later in life, he transitioned to Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a quiet person who loved music, dancing and playing dominoes. He loved fishing. He attended service at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He will be greatly missed by all who adored and appreciated his presence in life.

Eddie will be forever cherished by his son: Carlton Metz; his significant other: Leola Triplett and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.

Celebration of life service will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Washington Cemetery North 54th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
