In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Roger family. Florence’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Florence Rogers.

Mrs. Florence Mae Rogers was born September 5th,1948 to the late Isom, Sr and Mariah Mae Lee Richardson in Morrrilton, Arkansas. On April 15, 1952 she professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Greater Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Florence married John C. Rogers who proceeds her in death and to this union one child was born, Eric L. Rogers.


Florence had a passion for cooking and fishing, fishing from sun up to sun down with her fishing buddy Wanda Canady. Florence worked in security with A.B.M. Security Company for 3 years. Florence worked as Head Cook at Wyatts Cafeteria in Little Rock, Arkansas and also lead cook at Franks Cafeteria in Little Rock, Arkansas until moving to Morrilton, Arkansas taking on being a caregiver for her Father until his death. She was also her Mothers caregiver. All your Sisters and Brothers salute you for taking the time of your life so we could carry on with our lives, and also baby sitting family children.


Florence leaves to cherish her memory, son, Eric L. Rogers of Little Rock Arkansas; (Special friend Lisa Tuggle); five brothers, Leon (Pearl) Moore of Los Angeles, California, Isom Joe Richardson, Jr. of Los Angeles, California, Jerry Richardson of Morrilton, Arkansas, Rocky (Shirley) Richardson of Morrilton, Arkansas, Felix Joe Richardson of Morrilton, Arkansas; four sisters, Shirley Berkles Richardson of Los Angeles California, Sylvia (Thomas) McVay of Morrilton, Arkansas, Martha (Mark) Calvin of Morrilton, Arkansas, Janice (Joe) Parks of Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren, Terence Rogers and Kaila Logan; four great grandchildren; special friends, Janice Walls, Ontrinell Sanders and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, 11:00am at Greater Union Hill Baptist Church, 58 Sandtown Rd., Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Owens Cemetery, Morrilton, Arkansas.
