In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Grant Family. Frances' earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mrs. Frances Renee Grant.

Frances Renee Grant was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on October 3, 1960 to the late Grover Toney and Ruby Lee Toney. She was preceded in death by her Father Grover Toney, her sister Marietta Toney; grandmother, Arma Lee Patterson and brother-in-law, Bobby Earl Criswell, Sr.


Frances attended Central High School in Detroit, Michigan. She worked for several years until her loving husband told her to stop working. Frances accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas.


In her free time, Frances Grant loved making new recipes, shopping, decorating, collecting candles, watching game shows, and movies especially wheel of fortune. She was an avid sports fan and could be found calling them hogs especially during football and basketball season. She was full of laughter. Her happiest times was spent surrounded by her family.


Frances was a very loving, giving, and caring person with a tender heart, and loved traveling with her family and friends. She was affectionately labeled as "the life of the party", making sure that everyone she encountered had a great time. She had a heart of gold and she went above and beyond for the people she loved, especially her husband Odis Grant, her mother, Ruby Lee Toney, and all of her nieces and nephews.


Frances Renee Grant's precious memories of her beautiful life, love and legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends including: her loving husband Odis Grant; one spoiled daughter, Chatella Chantel Brockman of North Little Rock, Arkansas; mother, Ruby Lee Toney of Springfield, Arkansas; siblings, Linda B. Smith of Morrilton, Arkansas, Susan K. Criswell, Glenn A. Toney, and Gyaun L. Toney all of Springfield, Arkansas, James Clark of Detroit, Michigan; Mother in law Ms. Bobbie Grant, several in laws; Mary (H.L.) Dorsey of Dumas, Arkansas, Bertha Ross of Dumas, Arkansas, Barbara (Late Lanthus) Marshall of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Nancy (Tucker) Tatum of Dumas, Arkansas, Cheryl Grant of Kelso, Arkansas, Samuel (Cheryl) Grant of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Solomon (Valerie) Grant of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Johnny (Stephanna) Ross of Savannah, Georgia; Mary (Late Larry) Johnson, Pale Lee (Late Willie) Colbert, Nathaniel (Blossom) Grant, Rose (Harry) Smiley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two step sons; Odis Grant Jr., and Aaron Grant; two step daughters ShaTanya Grant, Aaliyah (Anthony) Brock; grandchildren, Ricardo Savoy, (Odis son), (Odis daughter), ShaRyah Thomas, Aaliana Brock, Wynter Grant, Anthony Brock Jr., and Ariella Brock; her three animal babies, Sasha, YaYa, Bruno and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and so many others whose lives she touched.


Walk through visitation for the public will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm with a private family visitation held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, 11:00am at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
