In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Hervey family. Helen’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Helen Hervey.

Sister Helen Lee Hervey started her life's journey on November 29, 1938 in Plumerville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Carrie Beatrice Black Hervey. Helen was the only girl of six children. She accepted Christ at an early age, joining the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas. She attended Eastside School in Menifee, Arkansas. Helen was a stay at home mom for many years and a very honest and outspoken person. She always told it like it was. She was a very compassionate and caring person. She loved her family unconditionally.


Helen was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, William Eugene Hervey, John D. "Pistol" Hervey, Arble Lee Hervey, and Charles A. Hervey, Sr.


On October 3, 2022, Helen accepted the call to eternal life and ended her earthly journey. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Ida (Raymond) Moore, Karen Moore; one son, Terry Hervey all of Plumerville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Barbara Everette, Latasha Moore, Raymond "Man" Moore, Kee'von Moore; four great-grandchildren, Shapria, A'Mya, Trinity, Ray' Shaun; one brother, William Lee (Helen) Hervey of Morrilton, Arkansas; special cousin, Donald Black and a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.


Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, 11:00am at Edmondson Cemetery, Plumerville, Arkansas.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Edmondson Cemetery, Plumerville, Arkansas.
