In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Marshall family. Lanthus’ earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Lanthus Marshall.

Lanthus Lee Marshall was a gift from God to his parents George Marshall and Lillian Nolles on July 9, 1943 in Tulsa, OK. He was called to enter into his eternal rest at home on Tuesday night, December 22, 2020. Marshall was also preceded in death by a brother, James Marshall; and a sister, Sheryl Marshall.
He married the love of his life, Barbara Marshall, on February 16, 1996, whom he adored and cherished, he was a loving husband.
Marshall accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was a member at the King Solomon Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Alan Smith. He was a graduate of the Summer High School in Kansas City, Kansas Class of 1961.
Marshall joined the military at a young age. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired from OK Foods as a Manager of Quality Control. He also served on the Board of the Arkansas-Oklahoma State Fair. He was the founder of the food bank at King Solomon Baptist Church.
Marshall was well known in his community for his rental properties and entertainment. He was an accomplished cook and a passionate chef. He truly loved hosting family gatherings and holiday dinners (Thanksgiving and Christmas were his favorite holidays). Marshall was a selfless human being and never had a problem helping others. He never met a stranger and was a loving outgoing friendly person with a big heart. He will be truly missed by all who loved and treasured him dearly in life.
Marshall leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving wife, Barbara Marshall; two sons, Reginald (Felicia) Murray and Eddie Gulley, Jr.; three daughters, La’Keisha Spratt, Bridgett Gulley, and Felicia (William) Mitchell; a special daughter in love, Amber Rushing; twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Sharp, III and Terrell Marshall; a sister, Janice Sharp, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends
