Laverna Kelley was a beautiful baby girl from God; born on December 20, 1959, to the late Lorine Warren and Colonial Jones in Snowflake, Arizona. She was called by God to take her eternal rest on Sunday September 8, 2024, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Laverna grew up in Snowflake, Arizona and attended Mary Bethune Elementary School and Phoenix Union High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Later moving to Fort Smith, where she attended West-ark Community College. While living in Little Rock, Arkansas she loved attending Longley Baptist Church.
Laverna loved family gatherings and was an “awesome” cook. She loved her family, and playing “jokes” on them. She adored her children and grandkids; always putting them first no matter what. She had a “gift of giving” no matter how big or small; she will definitely be missed by all that knew and loved her. She will always be known as a very “Strong Fighter”.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Lorine Springs and her father: Thomas Springs. Son: Jahadda Turner; brother: Vestaylor Flanagan and sister: Lajetta Clayton.
Laverna leaves behind to forever cherish her memories: Three (3) sons: Jamacia (Christine) Yancy of Seattle, Washington; Charles Wilson III and Bryceson Releford both of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Two (2) daughters: Sherrita Kelley and Querida Kelley both of Little Rock, Arkansas. Three (3) brothers: Willie Flanagan, Thomas Springs and Timothy Springs all of Fort Smith, Arkansas. One (1) sister: Jannifer Springs of Ft. Smith. Twenty-six (26) grandchildren; and two (2) great-grandchildren.
