Levi James Willis passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 49. He was born on December 6, 1975, in Los Angeles, California, to Anita Willis (deceased) and Larry James Willis, Sr. Levi grew up in Tulsa before moving to Fort Smith, where he graduated high school and spent most of his life.
Levi embraced the world with a unique mix of mischief, creativity, and curiosity. He had a deep love for nature, music, skateboarding, and art, always bringing his own unconventional energy to everything he did. A true jokester, he never missed an opportunity to make people laugh, whether with a well-timed quip or some off-the-wall antics. Music was one of Levi’s greatest passions, and he was a truly gifted musician. A phenomenal drummer, he also played the piano and guitar and had a knack for mixing techno-style music. Whether creating beats, jamming with friends, or losing himself in a rhythm, music was an extension of his vibrant and unpredictable spirit. His interests stretched into the weird and wonderful—the unexplained, the alien, and all things strange. At times, he could be introspective and brooding, but that never overshadowed his boundless energy and love for goofing around, keeping life fun and unexpected.
Levi is survived by his father, Larry James Willis, Sr., and his siblings: Larry James Willis, Jr. (Bobbi Willis), Rachel Morales, Laura Rounds (Daniel Rounds), Luke Willis, and Leah Willis. His nieces, nephews, and countless friends will forever carry his spirit with them—his laughter, his wild imagination, and the love he shared in his own unique way. Levi was one of a kind—fiercely himself, unapologetically fun, and deeply loved. His presence will be missed, but the stories, the laughter, and the warmth he brought to those who knew him will never fade.
Memorial Celebration of life Service will be Monday March 10, 2025; 3:00 P.M. Midland Heights Church 3500 North 6th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904. Visitation with family will be 2:00 to 3:00 P.M.
