Nathaniel’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Nathaniel Givan.

Nathaniel Lorenzo Givan, 78 of Fort Smith, Arkansas departed this life on July 27th 2021. He was born on November 9th 1943 in Conway, AR, to the late Robert Lee Andrew Givan and Annie Beatrice Givan. Nathaniel has been married to Judy Castro Givan for many years. To this union 1 son and 1 daughter. He also was married to Cora Gilbert, to this union 1 son. He also has a son, step son and step daughter by Elgenia Johnson, a dear companion. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Nathaniel was a hard worker. He worked several years at the home of the president of University of Central Arkansas. He loved to work in the yards and flower beds for others. He and his wife moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas where he reside until his passing. He was a very active member of First Baptist Church, off of Kelly highway in Fort Smith Arkansas under the leadership of the late Rev. Woods, Pastor until he became ill. He had many friends and everyone knew him by "Nate". If you met him, you would never forget Nathaniel, Uncle Nate, or Nate. He left a lasting impression of who he was!
Nathaniel leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Judy Givan; sons, Nathaniel, Jr., Tony, and Gregory; stepson, Gary Johnson; daughter, Natalee Givan; step daughter, Carla Daniels; sister, Annie Ruth (Wisdom) Scott of Merced, California and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. We loved our uncle Nate who was a Husband, Father, Brother, Brother in-law, and a dear friend. God has blessed us with many years of your presence and love! Rest on! Its your time for glory!
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 11:00am to 2:30pm at Rowell-Parish Mortuary, 611 N. 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
