Robin Elaine Gray Prather, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on December 3, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.
Robin was born in Harlan, KY on September 7, 1955 to Edell and Dorothy Gray. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor's degree in Public Health. On March 16th, 1986 and March 25th, 1993 respectively, she welcomed her two beautiful daughters, who were the most important part of her life.
Robin was a devoted Christian woman who truly lived by her faith. She put God first in all of her decisions. When she wasn’t doing acts of service, Robin enjoyed dancing, singing, and playing music aloud so everyone around her would share in her joy of life. Robin shared with the world her incredible knowledge of public health matters and advocated for her loved ones, especially when it came to their well-being. Robin was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult roles at home and at work. Robin was always the giver, never the taker. Robin loved her family with every bit of energy her body allowed. She will be deeply missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her. She is preceded by her father, Edell Gray; her sisters, Willie Ruth (Bunny) and Anita Gray.
Robin is survived by her mother, Dorothy Gray; her children, Leeza and Dorothy Prather; her brother Edell Gray Jr.; and her nephews, Louis and Kennedy Gray.
