Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." 41 years old departed this life on November 2, 2023, in Peoria, Arizona. Trey was born Oct 25, 1982, to the late Frederick B. Otey and Mildred M. Canady in Little Rock, Arkansas. He confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ in Conway, Arkansas. He loved his family, loved to sing but most loved to travel and study the law, having live in multiple states and visited a host of countries even studying aboard in South America; Trey interned for several U.S House of Representatives and State Senators, clerked for United States Department of Justice, and even participated in the Universities Global Business Experience in Central Europe. Trey was active member of the Arizona Bar Association and once held several other state bar association memberships. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Central Arkansas, Master of Education from Georgia State University as well as his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
Trey was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Andrew Byers, Sr., and Mazell Crawford Byers and Abram and Lucille Carlie-Otey, his sister Paige E. Canady, his uncle Roy Byers, aunt Mary Williams and his parents.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, Four brothers Gregory (Alisha) Canady of Atlanta, Georgia; Karras (Glenda) Canady of North Little Rock, AR, Logan Canady of Conway, Arkansas, Cortny Canady of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Amber Otey of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two uncles Andrew Byers, Jr. of Morrilton, Arkansas and Jerry Byers of Memphis, Tennessee; two aunts, Brenda (Willie) Brown of Memphis, Tennessee and Karen (David) Byers of Conway, Arkansas, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and family.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, 11:00am at Mt. Sinai Church of God In Christ, 349 AR-365, Conway, Arkansas 72032.
