In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Smith family. Jeremiah’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Vestoris Smith, IV.

Vestoris Smith IV, a phenomenal man, was a gift from God to Vestoris Smith III and Mechelle Guy on Monday, November 30, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri. Vestoris was affectionately known as Mann, Boos’ or “Boot’s Boy”.
Vestoris’ final prayer was heard, “Lord take this pain away.” And, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 his prayers were answered. God called his earthly angel home. Vestoris “Mann” Smith IV joined his loved ones who preceded him in death, his father: Vestoris III; paternal grandparents: Vestoris and Evelyn Smith II; his uncles, Glenn Smith, Michael Kursh and his favorite, Senores Smith Sr.
Vestoris attended Howard Elementary and Darby Junior High Schools in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He later relocated to Kansas and attended Shawnee Mission High School. A young man with many talents, who earned an abundance of trophies for sports and music. He was a great football player, and he could play an assortment of woodwind instruments. He earned his High School Diploma from Hutchison Community College. Vestoris had many trades; he attended Wright Business School, where he obtained an Associates Degree in Information Technology. He also, received certificates and licensing for: Culinary Arts, and Food Handling. He attended Kansas City, Kansas’ Community College for his Real Estate License. Vestoris later went back and obtained a CDL from Apex CDL Institute. He was employed at Deffenbaugh for 10 years, Trinity Nursing and Rehab as a chef and later at TransAm as an over the road truck driver until his health declined.
Vestoris fell in love and on February 18, 2006 married Marjorie “Pumpkin” and officially changed her last name. In their matrimony, six beautiful children were born. Vestoris was a member of the Black Angels Motorcycle Club. He drove his motorcycle with such class, and the members called him “Smooth.” Other extra-curricular activities were hanging with his children and wife; and living up to being the best Family “Mann” he could be until his final breath. Attending family gatherings, laughing, cooking, BBQ’s and being with the people who loved him most. When is his presence, you always felt loved. He always welcomed you in with kindness; and made sure you were free to be yourself.
Leaving an unconditional love line, the love of his life: Marjoirie Smith; his four sons: Brontez Smith, Venoris Smith, Kevin Garrett, and Arterious Smith; his two daughters: Vestoria Smith and V’Asia Smith; his mother: Mechelle (Curtis) Guy; his bonus mom: Deborah Smith; his six siblings: Terrance Smith, Terra (Deontre) Winston, Karen Smith, Shauntia Smith, Shannon (Jason) Carver and Vemeka Smith; his uncle: Leonard Smith; father-in-law: Barry (Lori) Bennett and Ricky Davis Sr.; his three brother-in-laws: Del Robinson, Michael Davis Sr. and Ricky Davis Jr.; his sister-in-law: Sparkle Robinson; six grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. He also leaves a special aunt: Debra Smith; special cousin: Senores Smith, his god-siblings: Rjshad (Scharonda Smith) Morsden. His lifetime friends: David Biggie and James Ivory.
Public walk-through will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
